Exhibits: That's So Gay & 10x10 Photography Project Returns To Gladstone Hotel!

That's So Gay: Come Together & 10x10 Photography Project Exhibition Review

Gladstone Hotel once again hosts their two annual LGBTQ themed art exhibitions - That's So Gay and 10x10 Photography Project, which run throughout Pride Toronto celebrations. And once again, both exhibits have impressed me with their unique and beautiful artwork.

Every year, That's So Gay "explores themes around sexuality, gender and identity as they intersect with experiences of race, disability, class and multiple identities". This year's theme 'Come Together' refers to many things: the multiple atrocities against the LGBTTI2QQ communities, the rise of activism, and the need for artists to creatively band together and help further the engagement and activism.

Now in its sixth year, 10x10 Photography Project has become a favourite exhibition to the Toronto arts community. It features 10 queer photographers and 100 portraits of LGBTTI2QQ Canadians who have made an impact on the arts. Each photographer brings their own creative flair to their portraits and it's always interesting to see how each artist present their subjects.

The 10x10 Photography Project is displayed together with That's So Gay: Come Together on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of Gladstone Hotel and also runs until August 17, 2016. Please visit Gladstone Hotel for more information.
