Haircare Review: Finding Zen with Orofluido Asia!

Orofluido Asia Haircare Review

There's a Japanese saying that "the beauty of her hair alone, can a woman captivate a man". Well if that's true, my hair needs a serious beauty makeover because I'm not captivating anyone right now, let alone someone from the opposite sex. And with the weather finally heating up, my hair is starting to frizz and expand. The warmer it gets outside, the bigger my thick hair gets. So when I arrived home from my vacation in February, to box filled with the Orofluido Asia haircare line, I was beyond happy.

Orofluido Asia claims 'exceptional frizz control, elasticity and smoothness.' And I'm hoping it will also help me to captivate a man....

Promoted as the 'Zen Beauty Ritual' the Orofluido Asia haircare line contains four different products: Zen Control Shampoo, Zen Control Conditioner, Zen Control Mask, and Zen Control Elixir. Each product lists tsubaki (camelia) oil, bamboo and properties of rice oil among their ingredients and they all have a nice light floral scent. But the shampoo and conditioner were a little disappointing. Although they were easy to apply, both had a good lather, and both rinsed out well, they alone did not do much for my hair. My hair was frizz free and smooth but it was also lack lustre and not soft at all after use. I will note that I have thick colour treated hair, so the shampoo and conditioner are probably more suited to hair that is not as damaged as mine.

The mask was much better. The directions for use were to apply once a week for fine hair or use as often as needed for thick hair. I used it instead of the conditioner and my hair looked and felt better, but it didn't feel as soft as I would like. But I fell in love with the elixir. This stuff is amazing! Not only does it provide excellent frizz control, but makes my hair look smooth without it looking greasy. I also use it in conjunction with other haircare products and works just as well. The elixir is a leave-in conditioner and can be used several different ways. It can be used before and after styling on damp or dry hair, as an overnight treatment, or as a treatment before washing. And the more I use, the more my hair looks healthier. And I only have to use a small amount so the bottle will last a long time.

Even though the Orofluido Asia Shampoo and Conditioner did control my hair's frizziness, they are better suited for hair that isn't as damaged as mine. The mask did work well, but the elixir is definitely worth a try for anyone whose hair needs some polish and frizz control. I would love to try the original Orofluido haircare line; it may be better suited for hair like mine. Orofluido Asia products sell for about $16 - $25 and can be found at select salons and Trade Secrets. I have a few blind dates in the next few weeks, so I'll report back to see if my hair captivates my date!

P.s!: I highly recommend trying the elixir, especially with the summer heat almost here which can make even fine hair frizzy.

P.s,
Melanie!
