Happening Weekend: Spring Forward!

Toronto Weekend Events Listing for March 11 - 13, 2016

There is quite a lot happening this weekend in Toronto. It's the start of March Break for most of those with kids (and a warning for those without kids:) and the start of St. Patrick's Day Celebrations. So get ready for some fun this weekend!

Here are my top picks for fabulous events and happenings in Toronto this weekend:

Lifestyle:
The Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place this Sunday. Pull on your favourite green sweater and head downtown for one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades outside of Ireland!

Sugar Beach is getting transformed into a Sugar Shack this weekend. There will be live performances, skating, ice sculptures, and of course sugar taffy on snow!

The ultimate walk off happens tonight at Super Wonder Fashion Wars. This runway show pits six different designers' most creative and edgy outfits against eachother with a dance party afterwards.

Exhibits & Culture:
Enjoy a day at the beach this winter weekend and visit the stunning Winter Stations at The Beaches in Toronto. Eight interactive design installations are spread out along Woodbine, Kew and Balmy Beaches in the east end.

Theatre & Music:
The New Creations Festival ends this Saturday. Don't miss out on this unique musical experience!

New Ideas Festival kicked off on Wednesday and runs until March 27. There is a full lineup of performances including new writing, works-in-progress and experimental drama.

Tonight is Friday Night Jazz at Ripley's Aquamarine. Listen to some cool live music while watching the jellyfish and sharks play.

Food & Drink:
This Saturday is Steam Whistle's Annual St Paddy's Day Bash. Live music and Irish dancing performances, traditional Irish eats, whiskey, and of course beer will be apart of the festivities!

Shopping:
Vintage lovers will be heading to the Spring Vintage Fashion Flea Market, which takes over The Garrison on Sunday.

P.s!: Don't forget to spring your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed Saturday night (or early Sunday morning)!
P.s,
Melanie!
