Happening Weekend: Bedrooms, Freaks & Artists!

Toronto Weekend Events Listing for January 22 - 24, 2016

There's nothing like a happening Toronto weekend to help get you over the winter blues. Just make sure you layer up when you leave your home to get out there and enjoy the many fabulous events happening throughout the city this weekend. I, myself am braving the cold and enjoying some great art exhibits. Maybe I'll see you? If you see me, come say hi. I'm the girl in The Purple Scarf!:)

Here are my top picks for events and happenings in Toronto this weekend:

Lifestyle:
Interior Design Show (IDS) kicked off a few days ago but is running until Sunday at The Toronto Metro Convention Centre. Be prepared to see the ordinary and extraordinary in home decor and design.

Bop around the Natrel outdoor skating rink at Harbourfront's weekly DJ Skate Night on Saturday.

Something Strange Circus Sideshow Festival takes place on Saturday until Monday at The Mod Club. Although there will be no elephants; enjoy the weird, freaky and strange entertainers including Guinness World Record Holders and some featured in Ripley's Believe or Not.

Culture & Exhibits:
It's the last weekend to visit Andy Warhol: Stars of the Silver Screen at TIFF. It's a large and amazing exhibit and not to be missed.

Come Up To My Room is one of my favourite art and design events and as a bonus this year: go back in time and visit Ferris Beuller's bedroom from Ferris Beuller's Day Off. The event only runs until Sunday, so make sure you go this weekend!

Toronto Design Offsite Festival is in full swing with plenty of installations, events, talks, exhibitions, and more happening across the city until Sunday.

Shopping:
Another installment of The Trinity Bellwoods Flea takes place this Saturday; the only difference is it's the Food Edition with a focus of local food.

P.s!: Can't make it to Toronto Design Offsite Festival this weekend? Several installations and exhibits are running past Sunday. Check out their site for details!

P.s,
Melanie!
