Gladstone Hotel's Come Up To My Room 2016 Art & Design Event Review
Last night I was thrilled to attend Gladstone Hotel's
Come Up To My Room (CUTMR) media opening reception. CUTMR is one of my favourite annual art exhibition events at one of my favourite places in Toronto.

I'm always excited to see the new and unique ways artists and designers have transformed the Gladstone Hotel's rooms, hallways and open spaces. And I certainly wasn't disappointed this year.
Now in its thirteenth year, CUTMR has become a staple of the
Toronto Offsite Design Festival and Toronto's alternative design scene. As always, both local and international artists are represented as well as established and emerging. Which is one of the reasons I love CUTMR - it's an event where all levels of artists and designers can participate which leads to a very interesting exhibition merging different artistic styles and ideas.

Several artists and designers are present during the event and visitors are encouraged to ask them questions and open a dialogue. Several of the highlights of the event was an exact replica of Ferris Beuller's bedroom from
Ferris Beuller's Day Off as well as The tranquil Equivalents room, (The Moon Room). The exhibition spans the second, third, and fourth floors, as well as outside the hotel.
