Toronto Thanksgiving Long Weekend Events Listing
This weekend is not only Thanksgiving but it's the last long weekend of the year. I know there is sometimes a long weekend or two around Christmas (not always) but it's usually packed full of holiday craziness that I consider Thanksgiving as the last long weekend of the year. While most people try to spend this weekend with family, I for one am spending it in the city catching up work and things to do around the apartment. I also want to spend some time with some friends and catch some amazing exhibits happening in Toronto, as well as events. Here are my top picks for events happening this Thanksgiving long weekend in Toronto!:
Lifestyle:
Screemers takes over the CNE grounds once gain this October starting tonight. Get in the spirit of Halloween and enjoy mazes, monster, haunted houses and more. Screemers runs every weekend of October and the week leading up to Halloween.
Exhibits & Culture:
Several of Nuit Blanche installations have extended runs including the massive Inside Out project that has taken over Nathan Phillips Square.
Check out my What's Happening page for a listing of the many exhibits taking place in Toronto. I for one have scheduled to visit a few this long weekend.
Shopping:
The Craft Ontario Show takes place this weekend until Sunday at Artscape Wychwood Barns. There will be a curated selection from artisans and vendors as well as a farmer's market.
The Bellwoods Flea happens again this Saturday at Dundas Video. There will be lots of vendors and artisans selling their unique wares as well as all day classic film screenings music, retro video games, and more.
P.s!: It's do or die this Sunday night for the Toronto Blue Jays. The ALDS Champions play against the Texas Rangers in Arlington. Come Together and watch the game (and catch Jay fever) at any one of the soon-to-be-packed-sports bars9or really any bar with a T.V.) in Toronto (and the rest of Canada) at 8pm! And then sleep in Thanksgiving Monday morning. Go Jays Go!
Happy Thanksgiving!
P.s,
Melanie!
