Happening Weekend: Lightsabers, Beer & Art!

Toronto Weekend Events Listing for October 23 - 25, 2015

The last few weeks have been really busy for me and this weekend is no exception. With a weekend jam-packed full of events squeezed between personal time with friends and my computer, I may need another weekend to recover from this one. And it all starts tonight as I   with thousands of Torontians) cheer on the Blue Jays in the hope that they keep the World Series dream alive!

Here are my top picks for amazing events happening in Toronto this weekend:

Lifestyle:
It's the last Pedestrian Sunday of the season in Kensington Market. Enjoy buskers, street vendors and food, sans cars.

If can't wait until the new Star Wars movie to come out, head on down to Nathan Phillips Square for an epic Lightsaber Battle this Saturday night. Bring your own or you can buy one there.

Excited for Halloween? Clay and Paper is throwing their annual Night of Dread party at Dufferin Grove Park on Saturday night. Enjoy bonfire, food, parade around in costume at this family-friendly event.

Exhibits & Culture:
Art Toronto is happening at The Metro Convention Centre starting this Friday until Monday. Browse contemporary and modern art from around the world with a special focus on Latin America.

The 36th annual International Festival of Authors started yesterday and runs until November 1st at Harboufront Centre. Enjoy special readings, interviews, lectures, book signings and more!

Can't get enough of contemporary art? Head on over to The Opera Centre to participate in Feature Art Fair. A curated selection from 30 galleries will be presented.

Food & Drink:
Cask Days begins today and runs until Sunday at Evergreen Brickworks. 150 different beers from around the world will be represented.

Shopping:
Everything To Do With Sex Show takes place at the Enercare Centre in Exhibition Place from Friday to Saturday. Browse vendors and enjoy live Burlesque shows, erotic performances, seminars, and more!

P.s!: Want to get outside and run? This weekend there are several running events happening including TO Women's Run, Monster Dash, and Mad Dog Scramble.

P.s,
Melanie!
