TRESemme Keratin Smooth Haircare System Review

A few months ago I started to do some beauty spring cleaning! Like many people out there, my bedroom and bathroom are exploding with so many beauty products I have been given or bought that I needed to do a beauty cleanse! I was given the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo, Conditioner, and Heat Activated Treatment in a swag bag from an event I attended (can't remember which event), and I can't believe I waited so long to try this haircare line! I am so pleased with the results!

I have very thick hair which in the summertime heat it feels like it expands to twice it's size. So I was skeptical about TRESemme's claim that "this non-damaging formula will help lock out frizz for 7 days (or 3 washes), giving you gorgeous, salon-smooth hair that lasts through washes."  My skepticism soon faded away!

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo is quite thick and I had to use alot on my thick hair. I unfortunately ran out of the shampoo before the conditioner, but I found that I achieved the smooth sleek hair results just by using the Heat Activated Treatment. Both the Shampoo and Conditioner had a fabulous strong sweet scent (which didn't last) and rinsed out of my hair well. According to the instructions, I left the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner on for 2- 3 minutes and then rinsed. After patting my hair down with a towel, I already could feel how soft and smooth my hair felt.

I then followed the instructions for the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Heat Activated Treatment and divided my hair up into sections and used two pumps of product per section which I applied from root to tip. Using my hair dryer I dried my hair completely and then used my flat iron. My hair looked amazing! A friend actually asked if I got my hair done at a salon. And it did last 7 days although each day was a little frizzier than the day before and I had to use some of my Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil Replenishing Treatment.

What I love about this line is that I didn't have to use all the steps to achieve smooth and hair. Although following all the steps was the best (and longest) way to achieve an amazing result, I still had great results just using the hair treatment and blow dryer.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo, Conditioner and Heat Activated Treatment are available at mass retailers and drugstores for around $7 - $10.
