Happening Weekend: It's PANdemonium!

Toronto Events Listing for July 10 - 12, 2015

Another weekend is upon us and this one is an action packed one that is the beginning of several weeks of amazing events happening across Toronto. The Pan Am games start today on Friday with nearly 7000 athletes converging on the city from across the Americas and the Caribbean. The Province of Ontario, Toronto, and other corporations have some amazing events and activities for everyone to enjoy! And if you want to avoid all the PANdemonium (yes I went there), there's plenty of other taking place across the city.

Happening, Weekend, Events, Toronto, food, culture, lifestyle, fun, excitment, the purple scarf, melanieps,

Here are my top picks for things to do in Toronto this weekend (and hopefully I'll see you there)!:

Lifestyle:
The Pan Am Games opening ceremony is Friday at 5pm at the Rogers Centre. The Games run until July 26 with many tickets available to several sporting events.

Party on The Block is a free three day party inspired by neighbourhoods from around the world down at The Harbourfront Centre.

If you feel like getting your heart racing or just to kick back and enjoy the best of Ontario, then join thousands at Ontario's Celebration Zone at the Harbourfront. There will be daily live entertainment, children's programming, zip-lining, and a rock climbing wall and adrenaline jump. Um adrenaline jump?! I'm there! Begins July 10 and runs until August 16, 2015.

Exhibits & Culture:
Panamania kicks off today and runs until August 15, 2015. Inspired by The Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, this art and culture festival will feature more than 1300 artists in 250 exhibitions and performances across the city. Highlights are free concerts by some big name musicians as well as art exhibitions, fireworks, and the world premiere of the floating art exhibition Watercolour.

Theatre & Music:
The Toronto Fringe Festival ends this Sunday with many of the shows last performance on Saturday. Don't miss your chance to watch some amazing plays including Loose Leaf Theatre's Me With You.

The Beaches International Jazz Festival starts today and runs until July 26 at Woodbine Park. Enjoy free concerts, Taste of Jazz, July 21 - 22 and StreetFest, July 23 - 25.

Food:
Taste of Downsview is a two day event at Downsview Park featuring great eats and live performances.

Find a new favourite restaurant at TO Food Fest which brings together the best of Toronto's restaurants on Sunday at The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto.

Hungry? Cash-strapped? Don't cook? The Junction Night Market is made for you! Prepred food from local restaurants, breweries and the farmers market in The juction are all selling for just $5!

P.s!: Nathan Phillips Square will be buzzing with daily entertainment and excitement during the whole month of July! Perfect for people watching!
 P.s,
Melanie!
