Shopping: Fashion That Speaks Volumes at Pipler Accessories!

Pipler Accessories Store Preview

Last month I was privileged to be invited to the opening of Pipler Accessories, a really cool accessories store in Cabbagetown in Toronto. As soon as I walked into the small store, I fell in love!

Pipler Accessories is owned and operated by the married team of Leonie Lilla and Alice Clarkson who believe that fashion accessories have the powerful ability to tell stories and exude messages of integrity.

Located at 453 Parliament Street in Toronto, all products sold in the store must meet one of the criteria: sustainability, handmade, local or charity-driven. Products like the beautiful Toronto-based brand Nella Bella by Tarek's vegan handbags to the striking Raven + Lily Cambodian Collection; created from melted artillery (from former war conflicts) and melted coins by HIV-infected women who are given a fair wage in Ethiopia. I  really loved the small leather change purses that the ladies are selling on behalf of a young man they just happen to meet on the streets of Toronto. Most products are not gender-specific are quite reasonably priced.

All the cool and chic esthetic of the beautiful accessories Pipler carries are reflected in the decor of the store itself. Salvaged and antique items were updated and given a new purpose such as old locker doors and dressers. Old wooden crates and beautiful wood-like floors give this store a very homey and welcoming feel. Pipler Accessories has now become one of my favourite accessory stores in Toronto!

P.s!: With wedding season in full swing, Pipler Accessories is the perfect place to pick up some unique groomsman and bridesmaid gifts (or a little something for yourself:)!
