What's Happening: Pride, Ribs and Gatsby!

Toronto Events Listing for June 26 - June 28, 2015

I can't believe it's the last weekend of June already and it's an exciting one packed full of plenty of things to do and see across the city. It's also the start of my vacation, so I'm pretty excited. I'm not traveling anywhere exotic this time, but there are plenty of events to enjoy across Toronto!

Here are my top picks for happenings in Toronto this weekend:

Culture & Exhibits:
Two amazing Canadian artists have solo shows at the AGO - From the Forest to the Sea: Emily Carr in British Columbia and Stephen Andrews POV are both amazing!

Luminato has some fabulous performances and events happening this weekend including the stunning Apocalypsis!

Music:
The largest electronic music festival in Canada, Digital Dreams, is taking place at The Flats at Ontario Place. Join the dance party both Saturday and Sunday along the shore of Lake Ontario!

The Toronto Jazz Festival ends on Monday. Make sure you try to catch a performance before it's gone for another year!

Food & Drink:
Meat-lover's paradise, Toronto Ribfest, starts on Saturday and runs until Canada Day. In addition to the mouthwatering smoked ribs, there will also be concert stages and midway rides.

Taste of Asia, the largest Asian Street Festival in Canada, takes place both Saturday and Sunday and features over 150 vendors. There will also be a hot sauce competition, so be prepared for some extreme food!

Lifestyle:
Toronto Pride kicked off last weekend and ends this weekend with the annual Pride Parade on Sunday. There are plenty of events and concerts happening to celebrate one of Toronto's largest and most colorful events!

It's the last Sunday of the month which means it's Pedestrian Sunday in Kensigton Market. Closed to cars, Kensigton Market's streets will be full of street performers, food vendors, and an art fair.

If you're in the mood for a more conservative affair, the Gatsby Garden Party taking place at Spadina Museum on Sunday might be for you. Jazz music, dancing and croquet are on the agenda for this afternoon soiree.

P.s!: This Wednesday is Canada Day! There will be plenty of events happening across the city including The Toronto Fringe Festival which kicks off it's 12 day run on Wednesday.

P.s,
Melanie!
