Happening Weekend: Eats, Beats & Treats!

Toronto Event Listing for June 5 - 7, 2015

The first weekend of the first summer month is here! Although it's not officially summer yet (as the weather can attest to) it's the first weekend of June and it's a jam packed weekend full of events and fun things to do in Toronto.

So in case you are still looking for something to do this weekend, here are my top picks!:

Exhibits & Culture:
Even though Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival is over, there are still some exhibits and installations still running like Erratics at Koffler Art Gallery.

Take a walk along Queen Street East and see over 170 local artists' exhibit their work during the Riverdale Art Walk.

Music:
Field Trip is back at Fork York. The family-friendly music festival runs both days and has three music stages, local artists' booths, and fun stuff for the kids. Kids under 12 are free!

Food & Drink:
Toronto's first ever Mac & Cheese Festival starts on Friday and runs all weekend in Liberty Market. Admission is free!

Toronto Taste is back and will be serving up some of Toronto's best dishes from over 50 Chefs. Tickets are $250 but $125 goes to Second Harvest.

If meat is not your thing, the Raw/Vegan Festival is running both Saturday and Sunday. Speakers and seminars will be happening throughout the day as well as vendors selling, food, cruelty-free cosmetics and ethically-made clothing.

Lifestyle:
100In1Day is happening on Saturday. Returning for it's second year, 100In1Day encourages small community driven interventions that are trying to make Toronto a better place.

While exploring Riverdale's Art, stop and enjoy Riverside's Eats & Beats Fest which will include of course food and music!

Dundas West Fest happens this Saturday and will celebrate everything local and fun!

Shopping:
Get rid of that old Bridesmaid dress and take home a really cool lamp at the Really Really Free Market in Toronto on Saturday. That's right free!

P.s!: And don't forget to check out all the amazing art exhibits happening across the city! Check out my What's Happening page for a listing with reviews and many!

P.s,
Melanie!
