Happening Weekend: Music, Booze and the Beach!

Toronto Events Listing for June 19 - 21, 2015

The Summer Events Season has kicked into high gear this weekend with so many big events taking place across Toronto. And not only is it Father's Day but also the first day of Summer on Sunday!

Here are my top picks for fabulous things to do in the city:

Exhibits & Culture:
Get lost in one Canada's greatest artists' world at the amazing Emily Carr exhibit at the AGO!

The Powerplant Contemporary Art Gallery is hosting a fabulous party celebrating their new exhibit and the start of the summer season tonight. A night of cocktails, music and art! What could be better?

Enjoy a night of art, food, drink, music, and dancing at the Tensions Launch Party at The Gardiner Museum on Saturday night.

Luminato begins this Friday and runs until June 28. This large arts and culture festival has amazing daily events, shows, and art installations throughout Toronto, some free to the public!

NXNE is in full swing and this weekend has some great events. Tonight is the M for Manning house party and on Saturday NXNE and The East Room are hosting an Outdoor Block Party! There is also a great lineup of art events as well as music.

Music:
The Toronto Jazz Festival, one of North America's premiere Jazz Festivals, starts the weekend and runs until June 27. Although many of the shows are ticketed, there are many free concerts open to the public!

Food & Drink:
The Annual Taste of Little Italy Festival starts this Friday with over 50 restaurants participating. Enjoy live music and a variety of food served on sticks in Little Italy.

Toronto Wine & Spirit Festival began yesterday and runs until Sunday at Sugar Beach. Booze and the Beach? Count me in!

Lifestyle:
Toronto Pride starts this weekend with a variety of events. One of Toronto's most colourful events runs until June 28 with an impressive lineup of events!

The world's largest multicultural picnic, Chin Picnic, happens this weekend with games, entertainment, live music, and fireworks!

Always a fun event, The Redpath Waterfront Festival happens this weekend with events for the whole family including the 4-legged ones!

P.s!: This Sunday is Father's Day, which also means celebrities and screaming teenagers will be heading to Queen and John for the MMVA's!

P.s,
Melanie!
