Skincare Review: Say Goodbye to Winter Ravaged Skin (+ Makeup) with Garnier Clean+ Cleanser!

Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser Review

This cold winter season has been brutal on my face's sensitive skin. Waiting every workday for the streetcar at 6am in the wind tunnel, also know as Queen Street West in Toronto is absolutely terrible. And as the only skin not covered, my poor face takes the brunt of the bitterly cold wind. My skin has been feeling dry and coarse, and is starting to look very dull. That's why when I was sent Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser, I (and my skin) became really excited.

I have to admit I'm not a huge lotion cleanser fan. All the lotion cleansers I've tried in the past have never really worked well for me. Either they were too drying, irritated my skin, or just didn't clean my skin very well. But after trying Garnier Clean+ Cleanser for the past several days, I finally found one I love.

Garnier Clean+ Cleanser claims that the "quick-break lotion releases powerful cleansing agents to dissolve impurities and waterproof mascara." After using Garnier Clean+, my skin did feel clean and extremely moisturized. It didn't irritate my winter-ravaged skin, and got MOST of my makeup off. I applaud the effort Garnier Clean+ Cleanser did in removing my Benefit They're Real Mascara and eyeliner, it got further than most cleansers and makeup removers. So great effort Garnier Clean+!! But not removes those two eye makeup products off short of a chisel and the Benefit Makeup Remover. But Garnier Clean+ did clean and remove the rest of my makeup including my Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara.

There are two ways to remove the cleanser - either wipe away with a cotton pad or rinse with water. I tried the cotton pad method, and I just felt like a lot of the product was left on my skin. I believe any time of cleansing involves water. After applying Garnier Clean+ and rinsing off with water, my skin felt smooth and soft. After using it for a few days, my skin looks less dull and feels so soft throughout the day. I'm not sure if I will continue using this cleanser into the summer, it feels like some of the product is left on my skin, acting like a moisturizer, but time will tell. For right now, my winter-abused skin (and I) are loving it!

P.s!: Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser contains no alcohol, dyes or fragrance and is suitable for sensitive skin.

P.s,
Melanie!
