H&M Sweater Dress & Lahtiset Boots from Uniikii Outfit!

I was recently invited to a preview of the unique and fashionable products offered by Canadian company Uniikii Inc. at the cool Chill Ice House downtown Toronto. I had the opportunity to view some of the amazing and fashionable lines they carry like Finnish felt footwear company Lahtiset. I loved the design of the wool felt boots they make. Not only are they unique and fashionable, but extremely warm which is perfect for Canadian winters!
 

Founded in 1921 in Finland, Lahtiset is one of a handful of companies worldwide that still work with a process called "wet felting" which enables them to create their unique and beautiful footwear. Made from pure lamb's wool, each and every pair of boots takes about eight days to make.

I was lucky enough to win this fabulous pair of knee high wool felt ryppy boots at the event. When I first put them on, I was unsure of the fit, they are wider than what I'm used to. But after putting in an insole, I fell in love! They are so warm and comfortable - like wearing a pair of slippers. My feet were the only warm part of my body after being in the ice lounge at Chill Ice House for longer than 20 minutes.

I paired the boots with a fabulous sweater dress from H&M that was only $20! This dress is such a great buy because it's so versatile. It will look great with a pair of leggings or tight jeans paired with flats, boots, or heels, and any combination of accessories. This outfit, I wore one of my favourite purple scarves that I picked up at a past The National Women's Show and a slouchy toque I got at this year's show. A Guess purse I bought a few years ago and a wooden Pohjola bracelet from Aarikka Jewlery, finished off the look. Aarikka Jewelry is another Finnish company Uniikki carries. Besides unique jewelry, the Aarikka line also includes gift ware, housewares, and home decor.

I love my wool felt ryppy boots! They are so warm and comfortable! Bring on the cold Canadian winter because my feet are ready!
