Makeup Review: Eyes That Will Get Noticed!

Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art Lid + Line + Lash Review

Just in time for holiday party season, Revlon recently introduced a limited edition two-in-one glamourous eyeshadow and eyeliner makeup duo: Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art Lid + Line + Lash. I was lucky enough to receive two of the eye makeup colours from Revlon, to test out for myself: Lilac Luster and Topaz Twinkle.

Since apparently, a woman's eyes is one of the first things a man will notice, as a single lady I love drawing attention to my hazel coloured eyes and making a statement with my eye makeup. Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art Lid + Line + Lash accomplished exactly that. The slim tube, which looks similar to the Revlon Nail Art polish, contains a cream metallic eye shadow on one side and glittery eyeliner on the other.

 

 

 

The cream eyeshadow was extremely easy to apply with the doe-like brush and my finger. It takes a few seconds to dry and it is highly pigmented. I do find it can crease so it was best to apply over a primer or a translucent powder. It also acts as beautiful base colour for other shadows. The Lilac Luster was a little harder to blend; my finger seemed to take the colour off. But I just had to apply another coat, and it looked great.

Once the cream shadow is completely set and dry (in just a few short minutes), the glitter eyeliner can be applied as a liner or on eyelashes for more impact. Although I found the eyeliner brush a little wide and not precise, and the eyeliner itself tended to bleed a bit, I did love the overall look. It is also was easier to apply mascara before the eyeliner, since it can bleed on the the lashes and make them stiff.

All the Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art Lid + Liner + Lash promotional pictures had the models and celebrities wearing a coloured kohl eyeliner with the PhotoReady Eye Art so I decided to try it as well. And hello drama! I applied Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in black and I love it! I also wore the Revlon Moisture Stain in London Posh, which complimented my dramatic eye look.

The Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art did feel a little heavy on my eyelids, but not uncomfortable. I also have super sensitive eyes, and was not bothered but the Revlon cream eyeshadow or the eyeliner.

I absolutely love this look!!! And it lasted for hours! Although some touch ups were needed for the eyeliner (which is pretty standard), the cream eyeshadow was almost as bright as when I first applied it over eight hours before. It was also very easy to remove at the end of the day. I wore it out and was complimented on my eye makeup all day and night! I may have even been given a phone number or two ;)
