Summer Fashion Outfit
Heya! Crop tops and tees have been an ongoing fashion trend this season. They were quite popular last summer and can still be seen this year. And for those of us who don't have washboard abs or a flat tummy, trying to wear this trend can make us uncomfortable. But I've come up with two ways to rock the crop top without showing off the belly bump: over a long dress or with a high-waisted (or semi-high) skirt. The waist of this full skirt from Express sits at my natural waist line, which is above my belly bump. And because it is very full, the skirt billows out from my waist and no one can tell I need to lose a few inches. The sheer panel that wraps around the sophisticated looking skirt gives it an interesting and chic detail. The cute cat crop top, I got last summer from Forever 21, brought in a fun element to this look. And the purse I got at a clearance sale from H&M for only $5! I love those clearance sales, you can sometimes find some really cool pieces for dirt cheap. And to bring in a sexy element, I'm wearing my new favourite heels from Forever 21. I love how all the different elements came together to create a fabulous outfit!: the chic and sophisticated skirt, the fun and cute crop top, and the edgy and sexy shoes.
The Details!: Skirt from Express / Crop Top (old) from Forever 21 / Shoes from Forever 21 / Purse (old) from H&M / Shop For Jayu Bracelet / Joseph Nogucci Bracelets
And P.s!: To find your natural waist, stand tall and and slightly bend to the side. Where your bend is is your natural waistline. I know I have to start an exercise routine with crunches to flatten my belly... I see a Health + Wellness Post in the future!
P.s,
Melanie!
