Evening Dress + Fashion Accessories Outfit
Heya! For the past several weeks I have been noticing a trend at several H&M retail stores. There are large collections that predominately revolve around the colour navy. As well, a lot of the pieces in these collections are more conservative and have an upscale style, that would be more appropriate for a work setting. I wanted to style something from this collection, and since I don't work in an office, I opted to style this cutout navy dress.I fell in love the sophisticated silhouette of this dress. With the high conservative neckline and low back-line, it reminded a little of Hillary Swank's infamous 2005 Oscar dress. Another fabulous detail is the cut outs of the sleeves of this navy dress. I felt very "Grecian" and sexy in this dress. Because the dress is so loose fitting, I added a thin belt to create definition at my waist. My new favourite pink clutch, bright pink shoes, and Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights, finished off this look. I added the same shade of bright pink accessories and makeup to make this outfit really stand out. This dress would be perfect for a semi-formal event or party. My only disappointment of this dress was that it wrinkled terribly. Although the material was polyester, I found it difficult to keep it wrinkle-free.
The Details!: Dress from H&M / Shoes from H&M / Belt from H&M / Via Vieta Clutch from Winners
And P.s!: When adding bright colours to a dark outfit, add accessories in a complimentary colour (like navy and pink) and stay within the same shade when adding a lot.
P.s,
Melanie!
