Beauty: Colour + Shine from Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain!

Lip Stain Review

I recently attended a Revlon event at The Panorama Lounge in Toronto. While there I had the opportunity to try some of Revlon's amazing makeup and nail products and take a bunch of these products home to sample and test. So over the next few months, there are going to be several Revlon products featured in some of my Beauty Posts. And the first product I'm excited to talk about is Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain. I received 4 different shades- Parisian Passion, Stockholm Chic, London Posh, and Barcelona Nights.

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about the claims Revlon made about this product. I've tried drugstore lip glosses and stains before with disappointing results like the staying power was too short, not good pigmentation, dries my lips, or was too sticky. I was pleasantly surprised by this Revlon Stain. It has a wide applicator and goes on smooth and only need about two coats to achieve the pigmentation I desired. Although, I found (especially with the London Posh shade), I needed to blend my lips together, to make the color look evenly distributed on my lips. But after I blended, the colour looked amazing! It's so glossy with NO stickiness! The colour lasts about 3-6 hours (depending on how much eating and drinking I'm doing), which is amazing for a drugstore brand!

I also love the rectangle shape of the tube, makes it easier to hold! Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains retails for about $13.00 and can be found at most drugstores and cosmetics departments. They are available in 12 different shades, all named after places I want to visit! The only let down was the stain (or lack thereof) left behind. Although, the darker shades did leave a slight stain on my lips, the lighter shades barely left any trace of colour. But overall a fabulous product!

P.s!: My lips did not feel dried out, even after extended use. Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains are infused with Vitamin E and Aloe and made my lips feel wonderful!

P.s,
Melanie!
