The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto is becoming well known for presenting free art exhibits that are open to the public like their two recent CONTACT Photography Festival Exhibitions. Last week I visited the Gladstone Hotel on Queen Street West to enjoy their two latest exhibitions: That's So Gay: On The Edge and 10x10 Photography Project that are running during Toronto's World Pride Celebrations.

In case you have been living under a rainbow coloured rock for the last few months in Toronto, let me inform you on the amazing 10 day event that started yesterday in Toronto: World Pride!  World Pride is an annual event celebrating and educating the history and culture of LGBTTIQQ2SA (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning, two-spirited, and their allies), that has been held at different cities around the world for the past 3 years. World Pride Toronto is presented by Pride Toronto, and coincides with Toronto's annual Pride Celebration and Parade.

My skin has a strange mix of issues. Because of my age, I'm worried about the tiny lines that have been appearing on my face. I am also plagued with adult acne: large pimples that appear, stay for weeks, and can leave a scar. And I also suffer from some redness and blotchiness that appear on my cheeks, as well as frequent dry patches. I have been trying out different serums for a few years to help combat my wide range of skin issues. For the last several months, I have using Pure + Simple Hydration Serum that I received in my Spark Sessions Swag bag. I added this serum to my regular beauty routine, and I am glad I did.

Heya! For the past several weeks I have been noticing a trend at several H&M retail stores. There are large collections that predominately revolve around the colour navy. As well, a lot of the pieces in these collections are more conservative and have an upscale style, that would be more appropriate for a work setting. I wanted to style something from this collection, and since I don't work in an office, I opted to style this cutout navy dress.

Last week a friend and I enjoyed an afternoon of beer and fun, as we took part of The Steam Whistle Brewing tour at the Roundhouse downtown Toronto. I have been on the Steam Whistle tour before, but it was over 7 years ago, as part of a birthday party. I was excited to take The Steam Whistle Brewing tour again, as the details from my last tour are a little hazy.

I got laid on from my job a few months ago, and I have been trying to find full time employment ever since. I love blogging and all the events and exhibits I go to because of it, but it doesn't pay the bills. I've been finding it hard to stay motivated and keep up with every day errands and chores because of my lack of motivation due to my unemployment. And maybe because I had to schedule appointments, visits, and events around my job, but my life was much more organized when I was working.

Heya! I was so impressed with the Toronto Public Reference Library's last art exhibit that last week, I hurried to take a welcomed break during the sunny heat to visit their newest culture exhibit - Magnetic North: The Enduring Pull of the Arctic Explored through Art.  I have always wanted to visit Canada's Great White North, and was excited to see this free exhibit offered right here downtown Toronto!

I recently attended a Revlon event at The Panorama Lounge in Toronto. While there I had the opportunity to try some of Revlon's amazing makeup and nail products and take a bunch of these products home to sample and test. So over the next few months, there are going to be several Revlon products featured in some of my Beauty Posts. And the first product I'm excited to talk about is Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain. I received 4 different shades- Parisian Passion, Stockholm Chic, London Posh, and Barcelona Nights.

Event: Taste of Toronto's Best!

This Saturday is the annual Toronto Taste event, one of the city's top food events that benefits the Second Harvest Food Rescue. Some of the city's top chefs from some of Toronto's best restaurants, including celebrity chef Mark McEwan, will be preparing a variety of food options at over 70 gourmet food and beverage stations.

A few weeks ago I was shopping in the Hudson's Bay store on Queen Street and came across this fabulous dress that I just had to buy! I love the colour (of course) and the mis matched patterns. I love when patterns are mixed up in clothing to create a unique look. It was also a bonus that this dress was marked down.

The weekend before last was one of my favourite events in Toronto: Doors Open Toronto! I love this event. It's a fabulous opportunity to not only visit companies and buildings not usually open to the public, but to learn a little history about this great city. Unlike previous years, I took part both Saturday and Sunday (which my body felt on Monday), and visited about 10 different sites.
