Event: Toronto Gets [FAT]!
Heya! Last week I had the opportunity to attend the opening night of Fashion Art Toronto ([FAT]) Arts & Fashion Week, formerly Alternative Fashion Week. An event that has been going on for 9 years and has become the biggest multi-arts festival of it's kind in Canada. It is a great way for emerging and unknown designers and artists to showcase their creativity in over 50 runway shows, a variety of live performances, fashion films, and photography and art installations.

Exhibit: The Bata Shoe Museum Shows That Sneakers Are Good For The Sole!
Heya! Last week I decided to visit one of my favourite Toronto Museums: The Bata Shoe Museum. I haven't been in a while, but one of their latest exhibitions Out Of The Box: The Rise of Sneaker Culture, caught my attention. What I first noticed about this exhibit, was how different it looked from The Bata Shoe Museum's other exhibits. It is modern, sleek, and vibrant. Like most of the shoes on display.

Style: Endless Style Options!
Heya! I love finding new ways to style items in my closet. A great way to save money is to buy a versatile item, like this black pleated skirt from H&M, and wear it with different items I already own, to create create endless style options! And for less than $40, this pleated skirt is a fabulous addition to my wardrobe. I styled 3 different looks with my new H&M skirt with pieces I found in my closet.
The first look I created was a fun and funky outfit, perfect for meeting friends on a sunny patio or an afternoon visit to an art gallery. I love adding fun and whimsy to an outfit with cartoon prints.

Exhibit: This Is No Ordinary Toy Exhibit!
Heya! Last week I visited the Design Exchange to explore it's latest exhibit This Is Not A Toy. This original exhibition, took it's name from disclaimers often found on product packaging claiming, "This Is Not A Toy". It is also, the world's first large scale exhibit dedicated to designer toys, and guest curated by Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams.

Beauty: Fabulous Hair from L'Oreal EverPure!
L'Oreal EverPure Haircare Review
I always had trouble with my hair. Not only is it extremely thick (which every hairstylist I have been to, has commented on) but I have been colouring it regularly for over 15 years. It sometimes becomes dry and hard to manage. I find that a lot of the shampoos and conditioners on the drugstore shelves make my hair frizzy and heavy. That's why I was so excited to try L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System. The color care system includes shampoos, conditioners, and hair masques in 3 different formulas: Moisture, Volume, and Smooth. I have been using the Moisture Formula line for over a year now and I am in love!Wednesday, April 09, 2014
Style: Party Ready!
Heya! Spring is finally here and I'm getting a little anxious with the many special events and parties I need to attend over the next several months. Not only is my sister getting married in September and I'm her Maid of Honour, but I have several family, friend, and work events. I want to look and feel my best at all these events, without spending a fortune. That's why I was so happy to come upon this fabulous dress from H&M.

Exhibit: Exploring The ROM's Forbidden City!
Heya! Last week I visited The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) to visit the much anticipated exhibition The Forbidden City: Inside The Court of China's Emperors. The exhibit has been described as extraordinary and compelling and I was excited to see it for myself. Especially after watching the video clip below from the ROM's website.

Style: Flower Power From Sarah Stevenson + Target!
On March 23, Target stores across Canada launched a new line by Canadian designer Sarah Stevenson. This new clothing line was apart of Stevenson's Grand Prize for winning the Toronto Fashion Incubator's (TFI) New Labels Design Competition. I have always been a fan of Sarah Stevenson, and was thrilled to be a volunteer at last years New Labels show to see her win the coveted grand prize.

Exhibit: Misled By Nature At MOCCA!
Last weekend I visited the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA) for the first time. I have been walking by the museum for years and always enjoyed the large painted murals outside the building, but I heard about their newest exhibition Misled by Nature: Contemporary Art and the Baroque, and I had to stop in and take a look.
