Exhibit: Going Up To The Gladstone Hotel's Strange Rooms!

Last weekend I visited The Gladstone Hotel on Queen Street West to take part in their annual Come Up To My Room (CUTMR) Exhibition. This event, which is apart of The Toronto Design Offsite Festival, is one of Toronto's biggest alternative design events and coincides with The Interior Design Show.

CUTMR, now in it's 11th year, takes over the Gladstone Hotel's second floor, as well as other parts of the building. Designers and artists participate and hotel rooms get strange makeovers, hallways become weirdly altered, and public spaces get transformed into a kind of demented fun house, which the public can enjoy and waunder through.

This exhibition was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It was only $10, and I was free to enjoy the uniqueness of not only CUTMR, but the of The Gladstone Hotel itself. Also, another amazing exhibition called Capacity, was held in The Melody Bar at the hotel. This exhibition presented works created by women designers and talent.
