Exhibit: Going Up To The Gladstone Hotel's Strange Rooms!

Last weekend I visited The Gladstone Hotel on Queen Street West to take part in their annual Come Up To My Room (CUTMR) Exhibition. This event, which is apart of The Toronto Design Offsite Festival, is one of Toronto's biggest alternative design events and coincides with The Interior Design Show.

Style: Aztec Print From Forever 21!

Heya! The cold and snow is making me yearn for the warm sunny days of summer. I wish I could afford to take time off and go on vacation to someplace warm like Mexico. I saw this Aztec print dress at +Forever 21 last week, and decided if I can't go to Mexico I would bring Mexico to me! 

Event: Getting Inspired At The Interior Design Show!

This past weekend was the Interior Design Show held in Toronto at The Metro Convention Centre. Designers, architects, Stores, and Trade Sales People all participated and showcased their talent and products. There was also some beautiful and avant garde pieces on display and for sale from various designers from across North America and beyond. 

Trend Alert!: Radiant Orchid Love!

I'm so excited for 2014! And one of the reason's for my excitement is the colour of the year, as chosen by Pantone, is the purple shade Radiant Orchid! And in case you didn't know, purple is my favourie colour. I love all shades of this fabulous hue including Radiant Orchid!

Lately, I been having some fun with my winter outfits. I've been pairing unlikely clothing pieces together or mixing up fabrics and styles with recent purchases or what I already own. It's not only fun but a great way to see what hidden treasures are hanging in my closet. Here is another fun look I came up that began with a great sweater I found at Winners.

Theatre: A Glimpse Into Egoyan's Cosi Fan Tutte!

Heya! Last weekend I had the fabulous opportunity to see the dress rehearsal for the first Opera of  2014, Cosi fan tutte, directed by Atom Egoyan. The dress rehearsal tickets are usually just given out to patrons of The Canadian Opera company, but my friend Jen had an extra ticket and I jumped at the chance of catching this behind the scenes look.

Heya! The last last few weeks have been extremely cold in Toronto. And it's only the beginning of January! It's hard to keep a smile on my face when the weather outside is frightful. But now is the perfect time to have fun with your outfits! Experiment with different layers, fabrics, and styles. Have fun and don't let winter bring you down!

Celebrity Style: Golden Stars!

Heya! Broadcasted last Sunday was one of my favourite Spectator Sports: Red Carpet watching! I love rewards season and the inevitable parade of stars strutting down red carpets in beautiful clothes. It's a great way to see gowns I can only dream of owning and also what is trending in the fashion world. Sunday's Red Carpet belonged  to The Golden Globes, and the stars were out in full force wearing clothes and jewelry that costs more than I will earn in my life time. A girl can dream!

Some of the trends that appeared on The Red Carpet was the colour red. This vibrant colour was worn by many stars.

Exhibit: Visiting The Guggenheim In Toronto!

Heya! Last week was an extremely cold and bleak week in Toronto. I had to do something to break my sullen mood that the weather brought on. I decided to take the opportunity to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario's newest exhibit The Great Upheaval: Masterpieces from The Guggenheim Collection, 1910-1918.

Heya! One of my New Years Resolutions this year, was to get organized both in my professional and personal life, to help make my life run more smoothly. To begin organizing my life, I first started to organize my home. I began to go through the mountain of beauty and makeup products, I have bought and received over the last year. During my clean up, I came across This CoverGirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Watermelon Twist, that I was given in a swag bag from a  previous fashion event. I usually don't wear pink on my lips, which is probably why it was unopened. But I decided to give it a try, and wear it everyday for a week.

Heya! Last Sunday I visited The Steam Whistle Brewery. Not just to sample their fabulous beer but to shop at the new Winter Farmer's Market.

Now that the cold weather is here, I find myself dressing casual, with jeans and sweaters, more often. Sometimes it's hard to stay motivated to look stylish when I all I want to do is stay warm! The way to looking good while dressing warm, is to remember these 3 elements: statement accessories, layer in colour, and fashion forward knits, like this one I picked up at M for Mendocino a few months ago.

Heya! Several weeks ago I went Shopping at Forever 21 and bought some amazing pieces at some fabulous prices! Not only was there a great sale on but there was an extra 50% off their clearance section. I couldn't resist some of the deals and bought a few funky fashion pieces to add some unique style to what was already in my closet. I picked up a chic striped faux fur coat, that I recently featured in a post: Grande Style: Coffee + (Faux Fur)!, and the fabulous faux fur collar featured in my last post of 2013: Retro Purple Haze!

Happy New Year 2013 Roundup & 2014 Preview

I can't believe another year has passed! It's ironic that I reach a point in my life when I understand how precious and short life is, time moves so much faster and the years flash by. Now it's a New Year and time to reflect on what happened in 2013. I am surprised and blessed at the many changes that have transpired in my life and how they are going to change the path of future.
