Stylicity sent out a challenge to the public to celebrate their unique
Canadian fashion and style their own version of the classic Canadian
Tuxedo.
The Canadian Tuxedo has been given a bad rap over the past few years, and quite honestly, I cringe at people wearing denim with denim. But, there is usually a right way and a wrong way to wear just about anything. Challenge excepted!
I found these great jeans at EXPRESS. What I love about them is the (faux) leather tuxedo stripe down the side. I paired them with an old jean jacket I bought at Garage over 15 years ago. I decided to add some more Canadian flair with an Express red plaid top with spike details at the neckline, and a red tuque. I pulled the whole look together with some heels and a clutch, both with metal spike details. I have to admit, I'm really enjoying this look, eh?!
The Details!: Jeans from Express / Jean Jacket from Garage / Top from Express / Clutch from Urban Planet / Tuque from +H&M / Sunglasses from H&M / Shoes from Payless Shoe Source
P.s!: Don't be afraid to wear something out of your comfort zone. Style it and make it your own. I really did not approve of the denim and denim look, until I made it my own. I've already got several compliments on this outfit!
P.s,
Melanie eh!
