Heya! Last week I went to go see the Christian Louboutin: An Exhibition Celebrating 20 years of Design, Artistry, and Magic, at The Design Exchange downtown Toronto. And it was amazing! All those beautiful shoes and boots! I wanted every pair!
The exhibit showcases over 250 pairs of the beautiful red soles displayed and grouped in 9 different themes. From the Fetish room, which showcases some very painful and beautiful pointe shoes accompanied with pictures shot by David Lynch, to the showgirl stage where there is a hologram of a very sexy Dita Von Teese doing what she does best surrounded by gorgeous Louboutin shoes. There is even a reproduction of his workshop, complete with a trapeze in the corner. This is the exhibits' first and only Canadian stop after it debuted in London, and its only here until September 15, 2013. I highly recommend this exhibit for anyone who appreciates not only fashionable footwear, but the artistry, design, and magic behind Christian Louboutin and his magnificent creations!
