Beauty: Faking It While Keeping It Real! + Giveaway!

I have been finding that there is just not enough time in the day to do everything I need to do. Between working a full time job, keeping up with my blog, making time for family and friends, and trying to fit in everyday errands, my good nights sleep suffers and it has been showing in my eyes.

I've decided to try some different beauty products to help with the dark circles under my eyes and make me look more alert, when all I want to and is take a nap. I've heard a lot of good things about Benefit Cosmetics Fake Up concealer and They're Real! mascara, and after watching the promo video for They're Real! mascara, I decided to give them a try (watch the video here or go to my facebook page).

Wow, what a difference! The Fake Up concealer not only diminished the look of my dark circles, but made the creases and lines around my eyes almost disappear! The concealer comes in an easy to use tube, with no messy liquid wands, so quick touch ups through out the day is a snap! It also does double duty, and provides not only concealment, but a vitamin E hydrator to help refresh and smooth those fine lines around your eyes! And according to benefit, fake-up can also be used to smooth away other pesky "situations" anywhere on your face.

Mascara is one of my favourite beauty products, and I never go without it! So I'm always a little anxious trying new mascaras. I've been let down before. They're Real! Mascara made my lashes look longer and fuller, which made my eyes look more awake! And my lashes looked that way throughout the whole work day. I love these two products and they will make a great addition to my beauty routine, helping me fake that I'm wide awake!

  3. Ok.. on busy days when I am running behind and can't get makeup on, a little lip gloss and some under eye concealer (or some corner eye brightener) go a long way to help me look a little brighter and put together in a fast hurry. Oh.. and I never skip moisturizing, ever!

  5. My beauty tip is to moisturize. Keeping my skin moisturized means I don't need to use as much product because it looks better to begin with.

  7. I use a clear lip balm before I apply my lipstick and my lips don't get all dried out and chapped.

  11. To make my life easier I use a beauty blender. It makes the application much more smooth and cuts down my time. I don't need to use a foundation brush anymore and using BB cream will add the coverage I need along with a nice finish to it.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  12. I use the kiss technique. ( Keep it Simple Stupid ) For daily facial beauty I use concealer, eye shadow and blush...I save mascara for special occasions mostly. And of course for a sweet smile I always brush my hair and brush and floss my teeth! LOL
