Style: Styling The Little Out Of The LBD!: Part 1

Heya! Karl Lagerfeld once said, "One is never over-dressed or under dressed in a little black dress". Well the same can be said for the long black dress, the new LBD. No woman should be without a long black dress in their closet! Especially now, as the seasons change and the the weather turns from hot to cool, a long dress is the perfect transitional piece. And the colour is so versatile that it can go from casual to elegant, day to night, with just the right accessories and styling! 

I bought this beautiful LBD from Forever 21 and have styled it into 10 unique outfits. This Forever 21 dress fits amazingly! It has a pretty flowing chiffon skirt and flattering leather like bodice. Whatever the mood or occasion this LBD has got you covered! I just added some accessories and layering pieces and I'm ready to face whatever the day throws at me.

Event: Fall In Love With Danier!

Heya! Last week I attended the Danier Leather Fall Fashion Show at Cube Nightclub's Katwalk event. It was a fun night filled with cocktails, meeting new people, great music, and of course Danier Leather Fashions! The show was hosted by Toronto's own Fashion Blogger, the Style Mogul, and the fashions were modeled by other Toronto Fashion Bloggers and writers.  Heya! For months I have been on a hunt for a flip flops that are comfortable and stylish. A pair that I would be able to wear with a skirt and a tee to the beach and also be able to wear with a dress, out to a dinner with friends. I use to have a pair that I bought in Italy many, many years ago. But I've literally wore a hole through the bottom of them, so I had to find a replacement pair on this side of the world. The hunt was on: some were too fancy, or too casual, or not comfortable, or just too not my style. I was going to give up, when a few weeks ago I was in one of my favourite places in Toronto: Canada's Largest Women's Shoe Shop at The Bay on Queen Street (read about the Shoe Shop here), when I came upon these fabulous pair of flip flops by Mel.

Heya! I can't believe there are only a few weeks left of summer! And I for one, am going to make the most of them! And in style! Day trips to the beach! Weekends up North! Picnics in the park! The choices are endless.

Exhibit: Photos That Changed!

Heya! I recently came across a photography exhibit that really took me by surprise. The exhibit is called Picture Change and is produced by PhotoSensitive. It took me over an hour to take in the startling, amazing, gut wrenching, tear producing, and smile inducing photographs that came from over 100 of Canada's best photojournalists.

Heya! Footwear is a vital part to any outfit. Some people forget that shoes (and boots) can change the entire feel and look of an outfit! I decided to illustrate this fashion fact with a fabulous dress I recently bought at a store called Katie. 

Theatre: Wickedly Beautiful!

Heya! A few weeks ago I was walking along The Path and came upon a wonderful sight!: The fabulous Wicked Witch costume and the ruby slippers that are being used in The Mirvish Theatre's production of The Wizard of Oz. They were on display for a short time at The Richmond-Adelaide Centre. If this is an example of the costumes used, I think I will have to go see the show. Although the mini exhibit is gone from the Richmond-Adelaide Centre, you can still experience the play, costumes and all, until August 18th at the Ed Mirvish Theatre. Heya! When it comes to night creams for my face, I haven't really stuck to one brand. I use the GWP's, the trial sized ones, or the creams on sale. I guess I just haven't found "the one" yet. Then 2 weeks ago that all changed. I started using one of my creams I got on sale, that I have never tried before, and it was like I was hit by cupid's arrow! I love VICHY LiftActiv Night Cream!
